The history of the Royal Automobile Club dates back to the end of the 19th century when it was founded as the Automobile Club of Great Britain. We were delighted to renovate 23 beautifully designed bedrooms and corridors for this magnificent client.
The Royal Automobile Club is a private, recommendation only social and sports club with two clubhouses: Woodcote Park, in the Surrey countryside, and Pall Mall, in the heart of London.
The prestigious Pall Mall includes facilities and amenities such as lounges and bars, a choice of restaurants, and even Turkish baths and squash courts. Not to mention its 108 bedrooms, which provide club members with the best experience possible.
One of our main duties was to strip out, redecorate and install £5,000 per roll wallcoverings, which required special skills and an eye for detail.
Other refurbishment works included carpet changing, furniture installation and electrical works.
Minimum disruption was mandatory due to the hotel remaining in full working order on other floors. We remained in line with all requirements and provided the clients with high-end solutions, whilst keeping noise at the lowest possible levels.
Renovations in the areas of central London are some of our favourites to be involved with. We feel inspired passing by neighbourhoods around the Royal Automobile Club, where there are sights such as Buckingham Palace and the National Gallery.
Exceptional locations attract marvelous stories and people. In this very district, you can also find a producer of handmade bowler hats from the 17th century!
