The Cheltenham Festival is an important event for horse racing enthusiasts, being one of the best known and highly prized racing competitions in the UK. We had to ensure that the Cheltenham Park Hotel Restaurant was ready for this event.
Only a few weeks’ notice was given for mobilisation of our team, which meant working weekends and night shifts to deliver this project with outstanding quality and on time ahead of the major Cheltenham horse racing Festival.

The project involved a back to bricks renovation of an existing restaurant and rebuilding of interiors to create a luxurious, spacious and colorful lakeside restaurant.
We built coffered type ceilings with cornicing and hidden lighting to add some depth and symmetry to the large open space.
We created a private and intimate dining experience on one side behind bespoke wooden branch-like doors with high-end finishing.

Installation of wooden flooring and creation of a featured wine and champagne cabinet display, with colourful LED lights controlled by a Lutron system lighting, gave this interior a unique and memorable character.
We provided redecorated wallcoverings in all of the corridors leading to the restaurant from different entrances.
Finally, we assisted with the positioning of all tables and chairs, ready for the hotel team to take care of the remaining final touches to this luxury restaurant refurbishment.
Our priority during this restaurant renovation project in the Cheltenham Park Hotel was to finish everything on time, which was very limited due to the upcoming Cheltenham Festival.
We were able to present the final results according to schedule thanks to detailed and precise planning, excellent project management skills, and the hard work of our handpicked team of professionals with more than 15 years of hands-on experience.
A word from our Clients:
Their approach to the works at all levels has been both helpful and highly professional by their craftsmen, tradesmen and management working with our own team to provide a finish to the highest of standards, very often within extremely tight constraints on both the programme and finances.
GBG Building Services Ltd has been employed by us to carry out general contracting and specialist subcontractor services on a number of projects, over the past four years. These have included The Paddington London Hilton, The Millennium Mayfair Hotel Grosvenor Square, and the Royal Automobile Club Piccadilly, which have ranged in value from £50k – £1.4m.
I believe the company has grown in stature over the years we have been working together and is quickly becoming a name within the industry that companies like ourselves can respect and rely on to carry out larger and even more prestigious projects in the future.
